Deciding to upgrade, I explored options like the XPS and X1C, but my final choice settled on the T470s after discovering its impressive specifications.
I went for the configuration with an Intel i5-7300U processor, 4GB RAM, 512GB SSD, fingerprint reader, and Type-C port, all at a reasonable price of $1084, approximately 7425 CNY. Choosing the bright silver color gave it a modern look.
Purchasing this laptop from the US wasn't straightforward. Initially, I tried using two international credit cards but faced issues with authorization due to non-US billing addresses. After numerous attempts, I resorted to wire transfer through an intermediary service, which proved successful. The process involved using a computer with access to overseas websites, registering on Lenovo's site, selecting the desired model, and providing a U.S.-based shipping address.
