VR social company BigScreen ushered in updated high-performance version launched this summer

Recently, Darshan Shankar, developer of VR social company BigScreen, released an update at Reddit: The VR social application BigScreen can present a desktop-like giant screen in a virtual environment, allowing users to work, play video games or watch videos on Netflix, YouTube or Twitch. Shankar said that the update will not add any new features to BigScreen, but it does bring some significant performance changes. Some problems in previous programs have caused a lot of inconvenience to the user, especially the problems caused by the use of Oculus Rift in combination with applications. The update is a stepping stone for the summer version 1.0, and version 1.0 will be "no bugs, high performance and full functionality." The patch description is as follows: Major performance bug fixes. Fixed a memory leak in the Multiplayer view caused by a memory leak. Fix BigScreen flashback error due to memory leak. Fix asynchronous space/reprojection issues. ASW always causes the virtual screen to break and requires more CPU to solve some of the problems caused by the BigScreen virtual keyboard. Removed some inefficient code elements. The goal of the development team is to fix the multiplayer stream to provide optimized HD viewing and audio improvements. While most VR applications build frameworks using 3D interfaces, Bigscreen Corporation builds on the 2D network to create closer links between available host content and sophisticated social experiences. Their beta application allows users to create a VR conference room where users can collaborate; or play online games with good friends in the same virtual room, and each person can play different roles. BigScreen supports Oculus Home and Steam platforms and is free. In February of this year, the company received a $3 million round of seed round financing. The lead investor was Silicon Valley's well-known venture capital a16z. Participating parties included True Ventures, Presence Capital, Ludlow Ventures, David Bettner, and SV Angel.
