Korea promotes the development and application of LED industry

South Korea seems to have made new progress in the promotion of LED lighting. In order to significantly reduce carbon emissions and save nearly 700 megawatts of electricity per year, the Korean government announced that it will invest $47 million to promote the use of LED lighting products. At a meeting jointly organized by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and the New Zealand Energy Efficiency and Conservation Agency in early February, Tae Won Moon, head of Korea's energy efficiency standards department, introduced the country's LED lighting certification and promotion program. The certification category includes alternatives to halogen, incandescent and fluorescent lamps.

In terms of indoor lighting, the promotion policy includes replacing 30% of all public buildings with LED lights by 2012 and requiring mandatory use of LED lighting products in new apartment buildings. In addition, it is mentioned that a labeling system similar to the LED Lighting Facts of the US Department of Energy (DoE) will be adopted.

The current requirements for high-efficiency LED lights for interior lighting in Korea are as follows:

• Constant current +/- 10%

• TDH value <30% when input power is greater than 5W; TDH value is 40% when input power is less than 5W

• PF>0.9 when the input power is greater than 5W; PF>0.85 when the input power is less than 5W

LED Lighting Manufacturers Energy Efficient Equipment Certification The above specifications are among the most stringent global performance standards.

However, the implementation of the new standard is accompanied by new incentives. For consumers switching to LED lighting, South Korea will provide up to 50% of the cost subsidy. Companies can also enjoy a 10% tax credit to reduce their installation costs.

After a year or two, when we review the progress of this plan, it will be very interesting. At the same time, let us pay tribute to the Korean government, they have taken an important step!

Our Battery Smart Monitoring system is direct integration of the battery restore solution into computer-based battery monitoring system which combines wireless communication with patented, field-proven battery monitor and analysis technology. It not only has the ability to restore battery, but also has the ability to monitor battery's State-Of- Health(SOH) in real time. It is much more intelligent than Smart Pulse Protector and Pulse Restore System because of it's battery remote management and maintenance function with wireless communication.
It is comprised of 3 base hardware which consists of a monitoring host, several monitoring modules, and several data box modules. Plus 1 software operation system. The monitor parts connected wirelessly with batteries pack and reliably reports battery State-Of-Health(SOH) to the software platform.
The battery monitoring system adopts a inspection module for each battery analysis and monitoring. Through the wireless communication technology, every single battery's SOH data collected by monitor is concentrated into the data box module. The data box module is used to collect the battery's voltage, temperature, internal resistance and current simultaneously. Then transmit all the data to the monitoring host which can do data displaying, analysis, storage, and alarming as soon as abnormal. Battery Monitoring System
Since the Monitoring system is integrated with Base Site Battery Protector System, The real-time improvement of the battery equalization and small pulse current desulfation, lead to the battery lifespan prolonged up to 2 times. Meanwhile, monitor battery's State-Of- Health(SOH) and State-Of-Charge (SOC) in real time to make sure keeping the back up power system always safe and uptime.
