Recently, the first phase of Chengdu Metro Line 3 was opened for trial operation. The author learned from Xinli Light Source Co., Ltd. that the company provided a guiding sign system for all 17 stations of the first phase of the project, and the first time the entire line adopted LED energy-saving light sources. More than 1,500 sets of equipment, compared with fluorescent lamps, energy saving ratio of more than 65%. According to preliminary estimates, Line 3 guidance system can save 500,000 kWh of electricity per year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 470 tons.
In the emergency evacuation system, a large number of rare earth luminescent materials are used. Without electricity, the light absorption can last for more than 40 hours, ensuring that passengers can safely and quickly exit in an emergency.
The first phase of Line 3 is the first time that Xinli applied LED light source in the southwest subway guidance system, which not only saves electricity, but also reduces the operation and maintenance costs in the later stage. At the same time, it provides a successful experience for LED navigation in the Southwest.
