At present, LED lighting technology standardization, modularization or technical bottlenecks such as light engine, heat dissipation, and driving power supply are constantly overcome; standardization, uniformity, and compatibility are continuously solved and improved; and power is increased, light distribution is optimized, and efficiency is improved. The improvement and cost reduction are more and more adopted by urban road lighting, but various problems have appeared in the application and maintenance process. Now there are some difficulties in the illuminance of LED street lamps, doubts and possible ways to explore in the future, hoping to benefit the development of LED.

First, the calculated illumination of LED street lights

According to the calculation method of the average illumination of road illumination, the calculated value of the average illuminance of the road refers to the maintenance value, which is called the minimum maintenance value in the CIE recommendation. It is the attenuation of the luminous flux when the light source is planned to be replaced, and the luminaire is caused by pollution. After the factors such as efficiency decrease, the average illuminance value used in the calculation is designed. In other words, the average illuminance value is basically the illuminance value before the replacement of the light source, and the initial illuminance is calculated according to the maintenance factor of 0.7 (sodium lamp luminaire IP65) should be 1.43 times the illuminance value when the light source is replaced. Taking fast road lighting as an example, the national standard CJJ45-2006 stipulates that the average illuminance of the expressway is 20-30LX, that is, the initial illumination should be no less than 28.6-42.9LX, in order to meet the maintenance value required for road lighting, and the above understanding is only professional. People can master. When recommending their LED street light products, the relevant manufacturers often use their initial illuminance to confuse the average illuminance. The ignorant government or the owner who does not understand the average illuminance confuses the average illuminance with the initial illuminance value just exceeding or basically reaching the minimum average illuminance. Fudge the government or the owner who does not understand the average illuminance, replacing the average illuminance value with the initial illuminance value that has just exceeded or basically reached the minimum of the average illuminance. It is considered that the national standard has been met and can replace the relevant high-pressure sodium lamp to save energy.

In order to achieve the purpose of reducing light decay, more manufacturers have designed a timing boosting voltage or current on the driving power supply to increase the output voltage or current by about 3% at regular intervals to reduce the actual light attenuation and achieve light decay. Close to or exceed the purpose of the sodium lamp, this method of drinking and quenching thirst not only ruined the owner, but also damaged the life of the light source electrical appliance (by increasing the voltage and current method to improve the light efficiency, it is easy to cause the LED chip to be damaged). Therefore, in the case that the LED street lamp technology is still not mature, the use of LED street lamps for road lighting should not only consider its maintainability and cost performance, but also conduct preliminary tests of LED street lamps to distinguish between average illumination and initial illumination, and accurately determine the factory. Provide the actual luminous efficiency of the product and the actual light decay, and select the appropriate power source for road lighting.
