What is the ghost of Laos? As one of our neighbors, 99% of people have the impression of Laos - no impression!

Indeed, not to mention that compared to Thailand, Laos is also the least present compared to Myanmar and Vietnam. As one of the only five socialist countries in the world, economic development in Laos is probably only a little better than North Korea. However, the tourism industry is even more deserted than the surrounding Southeast Asian countries.

The less footsteps there are, the more we want to find out. Holding a belief that I only spent this time in my life, I spent an entire week and we replaced thousands of yuan in the hands with millions of old coins and drove out of Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. We tried to pretend to be “pretend” through this. The journey to meet the inner curiosity of this land.

▲ Changes to “Millionaire” in Seconds

After flying to Jinghong in Xishuangbanna, we drove more than 200 kilometers to the Mori port on the China-Laos border. This is the only port to enter Laos. It took only about a quarter of an hour and we successfully entered Laos. Our first destination was Luang Prabang, the most prestigious tourism destination in Laos. It was about 300 kilometers from the Taro port. Our plan was to arrive in 4 hours, but this time was seriously affected by the locals. Laughing, they politely told us to prepare for the road before dark.

â–² By grinding the port, it means that it has already left the country.

â–² Gathered the exit stamp of a land port!

â–²Be sure to remember to buy auto insurance after passing the Lao border inspection

â–² The only main road linking north and south of Laos. Such road conditions are normal.

After entering Laos, we soon realized how good the derision of the locals was. Along the winding roads and hairpins along the way, the tumbling stomach juices made people not want to speak. Even more desperately, the road leading to Luang Prabang was the only one. All the cars entering the port were crowded on this road. The poor road conditions made We often encounter traffic jams and give way to situations. Because of Maserati's lower chassis, we need to pay special attention when we drive. In the face of the envy and red eyes projected by the fellows on the tourist bus, I just want to shout "Ok."

▲ Daily traffic jams. At this time, the Chinese team’s car could still be seen in the fleet. Later, it became less and less.

â–² Years of travel experience tells me that no matter how poor the place is, children's faces can always have the most pure smile.

Along the way, we passed through some small towns where children barefooted on the road. Women were sitting in front of the Diaojiao Building and chatting in the cold. The men seemed to be busy. Some were repairing the house and some were doing farm work. At a glance, it is a picture of the humanities of the developing countries in the National Geographic. Then we discovered that wherever there was a place where roads, hydropower, and other major projects were involved, the “Chinese XX Construction Company” word mark was bound to hang. If it weren’t for language barriers, there might be a moment of mistaken thinking that he did not leave the country. He just arrived. One of China's provinces.

Later, I chatted with local Chinese workers and learned that the Chinese government has assisted a large number of infrastructure projects in Laos, such as hydroelectric power stations, which were completely funded and built by the Chinese government. The condition is that Chinese companies will charge electricity and maintenance fees for decades after completion, so in fact, For Chinese companies, it is an unprofitable transaction. Laos government has no money to build

▲ Wherever we went, almost all infrastructure such as road construction and hydroelectric power stations were “custodized” by the Chinese.

Another wonderful phenomenon is that all construction sites, foremen, and drivers of large machinery are often Chinese, and the general coolies are all locals. It is said that the monthly salary of these locals is only about 800 yuan, but even so there are many people rushing to do it, after all, this is a stable and low-income job for the local people. Can you guess the wages of Chinese workers? Anyway, I was shocked at the time!

After entering the territory of Laos, I thought of buying an internet card quickly. As a result, I asked several small grocery stores. Although there were mobile phone cards for sale, I couldn’t handle them because the language was completely blocked. At the end of the road leading to Thailand, there was a Chinese-owned mobile phone shop. We bought local Lao cards here.

It is no exaggeration to say that from the 9:00 am departure, this 300-kilometer journey actually took us all day. At about 7 pm we finally arrived at the hotel in Luang Prabang. Luang Prabang is very small. We live on the edge of the Mekong River. It really was a lively evening with other Southeast Asian countries. The difference was that the night in Luang Prabang was particularly quiet. Looking for a small restaurant that is still open at the riverside, ordered a curry-based meal and swallowed it. It was too late for a taste. I just wanted to hurry up and slept after hurrying to catch it.

â–² Laos traditional food, various kinds of curries, sweet and sour salad, grilled fish, and glutinous rice as a staple food.

â–² Luang Prabang hotels are well developed and the best hotels are often on the top of the mountain or on the banks of the Mekong River.

We plan to spend a day and a half in Luang Prabang. The timeline is roughly the first day. We will visit the temples in Luang Prabang City and visit the Guangxi Waterfall outside the city. At night, we will return to the city to experience an "old-fashioned horse killing chicken"; On the second day, they participated in giving and driving to Vientiane, Laos.

â–²I arrived at the Royal Palace Museum in the morning and had not yet opened the door. The sun was shining on the golden temple.

Sisavangvong Rd seems to be the most prosperous road in the city of Luang Prabang. Within ten minutes from the hotel, we arrived at the Royal Palace Museum on the head of Sisavangvong Rd. More than eight o'clock in the morning sunshine shines on the exterior wall of the palace. The palace is full of light and one can't help but wonder how much time it took to realize the illusion of luxury in this impoverished little country.

The Royal Palace Museum is the best place to become the first stop of Luang Prabang tour. The history of this building is not very long. In 1904, this palace was originally built on the bank of the Mekong River as the residence of the king and his family. After the king died in 1959, his son inherited the throne. In 1975, the palace was converted into a museum. Here you can also see the ruins of the Kingdom of the Kingdom and many national heritage. The entire palace is resplendent, bright and dazzling, and the interior decoration is elegant and luxurious. This is the palace of the last generation of kings in Laos, Sisavanvandana. Members of the royal family do not know where to go. The palace, the council hall, the study room, the collection room, the living room, etc. can be seen in the palace. To tell the truth, you are used to seeing the world. For the people of the country, this place is a little tasteless and does not allow any photographing.

The transition to Luang Prabang's most famous temple, Xiangtong Temple, did not expect to be stopped at the entrance. The reason was that I was wearing something "exposed" - the length of the skirt was above the knee. Hearing this reason, I and the oranges are huh. However, it seems that temple administrators have already prepared for such exposed elements. The staff took me to the side door. An old lady greeted me warmly and asked me to pick a favorite style from a pile of cloths. She then taught me how to wrap the cloth around her waist to form a Laos style. Tub skirt.

â–²It is the most magnificent temple in Luang Prabang, but I think it's more accurate to describe it in a small and exquisite manner.

Shantong Temple is the most magnificent temple in Luang Prabang, and is also the most famous and beautiful temple, which enriches the ancient temple architecture of Luang Prabang. It was built by King Setthathirat in 1560 and until 1975 was a private property of the royal family. The eight large pillars in the temple are engraved with gold patterns, drawing people's attention to the back of the golden Buddha and the roof covered by the light wheel. The back wall outside the monastery is inlaid with a vivid tree motif. The background is a small building next to it. It is a red church with a unique statue of Buddha.

â–² Shorts and short skirts are not allowed to enter the interior of the temple. Fortunately, each Laos traditional skirt skirt is borrowed for free at each attraction.

There was no breeze in the sultry weather. The sun broke through the air and reached the ground unimpeded. The eyes were covered with temple walls reflecting the golden light and various mosaic and mosaic religious stories. In the vast temple, there are only a few scattered tourists. At the end of the wall is the street, but you can't even hear the sound of any car driving. Only when you know it, you keep on declaring your existence.

â–² Pass by the entrance to the temple which is nearly 500 years old.

â–² As in every tropical country, blue sky and white clouds are the norm.

â–²BlingBling's mosaic is decorated with walls.

â–² The combination of luxury cars and temples did not actually violate the sense of harmony.

After casually picking up a restaurant on Sisavangvong Rd and enjoying an old-fashioned light meal, we drove to the long-awaited Guangxi Waterfall. Saying that we are looking forward to the falls, it is better to say that we are looking for an original ecological adventure because the most famous of the Guangxi Falls is the “diving” project—no lifeguards, no jumping platforms, only one branch and a clean mountain. Spring water is open to all people, but only those who can fully accept nature are welcome.

â–² The total drop of Guangxi Waterfall is several hundred meters. Each fault is a natural swimming pool.

What I want to emphasize here is that I know oranges like me, but what I don't know is how much he loves me. For example, I don’t swim with him and jump from a five-meter-high branch. If I don’t get up afterwards, will he, who is also on the verge of survival, be willing to save for me?

â–² Orange came a trick "bird wings."

When I was learning to swim, I once said that people who can swim are playing in the water with an attitude of physical exercise. When I do not swim like this, when I encounter water, I will only stimulate my will to survive. At that moment, when I reached the end of the tree branch, there was a group of foreign children standing in line waiting to jump. My leg was no longer my own. I quickly jumped through my mind and after jumping through the scene, for example, I should immediately hold my breath, close my eyes, raise my legs and try my best, and then comfort myself that everyone is alive. No reason why I die here. Now.

Time has not allowed me to continue to obsessive, and that moment is like being kicked. I think how I would promise to play this project with my head full of thoughts. The time in the air seems to be particularly long. It feels like I have fallen for a long time. I haven't touched the water yet. Suddenly, my body was suddenly surrounded by water. I couldn't blink without breathing, and I wouldn't die. I finally felt a hand grabbed me, but I obviously desperately wanted to go up, but he just pulled me down. "Call!" The head finally revealed the water I was still alive! Well, this is my diving experience of the Guangxi Waterfall, is still alive, and it is still beautiful, because after coming up from the water, I discovered that my makeup, eyeliner, and eyebrows were miraculously not spent.

â–² oranges have been waiting for me in the water, and everyone is staring at me, I don't seem to have lost my way!

This special experience has become the most refreshing experience of our trip. For ordinary tourists who do not pursue extreme adventures, such a light adventure seems to be a more worthy project to promote. Back in the evening in Luang Prabang City, Sisavangvong Rd was enveloped in the sunset, making it more laid back.

â–² Laos is a paradise for poor young people in Europe and America. The bed and breakfast here is even a few dollars a night.

â–² Mekong River, quietly sunset.

â–² Even in China, it is difficult for you to see the party flag fluttering in the streets. However, here the party flag became a landscape.

â–² The Laos flag is long this way!

On the other side of the road is the quiet flow of the Mekong River. Walking in this city, you will find that visitors who are obviously on vacation are far more hurried than the locals. For the "old" people, poor music has become the most common state.

â–² Lao beer, taste is not bitter, sweet, reminiscent of the taste of Hokkaido beer.

As we all know, Laos is a French colony. The colonial influence is evident from the food. When we snagged on Sisavangvong Rd, we found that the old-fashioned restaurants were mainly local (and Thai-style, mainly curry, but not as Thai) and French. In the main, dinner, we had a few bottles of Lao Beer to eat a western meal. We didn't talk about taste, and the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere was perfect. And prices are extremely low, Southeast Asia's fruit Shake, even less than 10 yuan.

â–² Fruit Shake on the Main Street is a symbol of Southeast Asian cities!

The ancient city of Luang Prabang has kept the tradition of giving every morning. At five o'clock in the morning of the next day, we started to participate in this ancient religious activity.

Giving is a religious tradition that has been maintained by Hinayana Buddhism for thousands of years. In Luang Prabang, every day in the early morning, the monks will accept the offerings of their followers along Sisavangvong Rd. Different seasons start at different times. You can ask the local hotel for the correct time.

â–² The female donor!

â–² The monks are away.

â–² For them, the end of the day after the end of the offering.

â–² A young monk has just completed the offering and put down the food from Shih Bah after passing through the temple.

There are requirements to give to the monks: As with the temples, girls cannot wear skirts that are longer than their knees; the food they carry must also be fresh. Of course, compared with the more purely religious significance of the past, the donation to the present is obviously more like a performance. I bought some fresh ingredients at the locals. I tried to express myself more devoutly on the side of the road. When each deaf person passed me, I gently gave them food in the basket. I wanted to be more interactive. Unfortunately most of the time, They may be too young to be able to look directly at female donors.

â–²Do you still want to be quiet?

Our stay in Luang Prabang is nearing its end. The ancient capital and Buddhist center of Laos have left us with the most profound impression of being quiet. The Mekong River runs through the city and flows quietly every day. People come and go, but they are not in a hurry. Religion and life are so closely integrated that the young monks become the carrier of people's trust.

From Luang Prabang out of the city, we went straight to Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Along the way is still a strong contrast between blue sky and yellow earth. In a rest stop that was more than 100 kilometers away from the city, we met with a team of motorcycle teams from Southeast Asia. There are unclaimed bicycles on the top of the mountain, 360-degree panoramic views of the original wooden bench, and the mangoes on the trees are in fruitful seasons. The enthusiastic hostess teaches me how to use the tools to pick. This is Laos, you feel mysterious before you come. If you really come, you will find that these ancient mysteries still reveal a lot of romance.

â–² A simple restaurant on the roadside among the mountains, a random window is like a beautiful movie screen.

â–² The daily routine of a new day. This is the main north-south road in this country.

â–² Approach Wanrong. The scenery here is like Guilin. Wanrong is also a paradise for outdoor sports.

â–² Round the motorcycle fleet in Southeast Asia, their destination is China!

â–² An unclaimed bike can have a good time.

â–² Which one do you choose?

â–²In the face of such landscapes, the loess and hairpin bends on the road do not seem worth mentioning.

â–² Exquisitely full of logo, orange also found his old club, PCauto's Che Youhui signs.

â–² You can see the Chinese logo in the Peak Lounge.

â–² Hand-picked mangoes for the first time, communicating with hostesses in various body language.

Another day when the twilight came, we finally came to the outskirts of Vientiane. Before entering the city, we were again stopped by the police. This is already the Nth time along the way. Most of them are just routine inspections. It is not difficult for us, so we are also accustomed to it. The results were not quite the same this time. The police pointed to an unfilled vacancy in one of the documents. He spoke English that was hard to understand and punished us severely. However, that document was written by the Lao Customs. Even if there were errors or omissions, it was not the responsibility we caused. Moreover, everything was on the way. It was clear that this was an attempt to blackmail us.

We naturally arguably argued and strongly disagreed to solve the problem in a private (bribery) way. At the time of stalemate, I didn't know when I had stopped a car. We took down two people in the car and asked us in Chinese if we needed to. help. It was originally the two Chinese compatriots who were doing business here. When we met with the Chinese license plate car that we had detained, it was estimated that we had encountered the police's martyrdom and we came to help. The policemen couldn't deceive us at first sight. They could only stop and wave their hand. After thanking their countrymen, we finally got into the late peak of Vientiane.

The north of Vientiane is a Chinese gathering area where a large number of Chinese businessmen operate. At the same time, you can also see a large number of Chinese brands on the road.

â–²Fukuda Automobile and BYD Automobile dealers

â–² international big brands: OPPO mobile phone!

Vientiane is unique in its geographical location, the capital of the world's closest national border, across a Mekong River, across from Thailand. The next morning we came to the most famous Arc de Triomphe. The hotter people couldn't breathe. I just wanted to come to the Frappuccino and suddenly discovered that it was a good question - if there was any Starbucks in Laos, then I pulled out my cell phone and tried to find the answer. App shows that only 14 kilometers from my nearest Starbucks, however! It is across the river, that is, in Thailand.

â–² Mekong River, on the other side is Thailand. In the dry season, the local people can go abroad with water.

Located about 3 km northeast of Vientiane, Ta Chang is the most famous attraction in the area. Taji is a group of towers and has a reputation for architectural art. The tower is square, gray brick structure, unique architectural style. The bottom of the main tower is composed of three huge square blocks. The middle of the four towers are covered with pavilions. The second floor has 30 towers. The third floor stands on the main tower. The top of the tower is affixed with gold foil and the tower body glitters. The tower is 45 meters high and 54 meters wide. It is the most famous and important stupa in Laos. Its geographical location, social status, long history and architectural art are the proud landmarks of the Laotian people.

â–² The tower downstairs has become a good place for the locals to enjoy the cool.

â–² Standing on the top of the tower, the city is at a glance.

â–² Vientiane, the capital of this country, does not have any high-rise buildings.

â–² There is no fog here, only the blue sky and white clouds.

Compared to the leisure of Luang Prabang, Vientiane finally allowed us to see some of the city's features. The road leading to the Arc de Triomphe (Tajik) is as straightforward as the city of any country. The ancient Arc de Triomphe is like a guardian, and like the faith of this city, it stands firmly in the center of the square. In the old days, it was also a gathering place for religious activities. Obviously, the religion has faded a lot. Walking on the trek from the bottom of the tower, through a window, you can see the order and style of the city.

â–² Vientiane Arc de Triomphe!

It is the Vientiane Si Sag Temple that is famous for the triumphal arch. This is the most complete temple complex in Vientiane. We drove around the car and met a lot of new people who were photographing wedding photos. The thick makeup on the faces of the brides made them look a bit old. They took pictures in the background of religious buildings in Laos and may be with us on Thames Small. The feeling of wedding photographs in the town is almost the same.

The Si Sag Temple, built in 1818 AD, is the most complete preserved monastery in Vientiane City. In the cloisters around the walls of the West Sagya Monastery, many Buddha images of various sizes were neatly placed, and there were more than 10,000 statues. Their ages were as far back as 1200 years ago, and they were collected after the war. The main statue of the Buddha in the temple weighs more than 100,000 kilograms, so it is also known as the "Ten Thousand Buddhas."

â–² You can feel that this country is very inclusive.

â–² The interior of the magnificent building is empty.

Vientiane's night was not as lively as we imagined. In the evening, the shops on the street had already been closed. There were night markets left and all the cheap commodities were on sale. Visitors could only watch a lively event. The locals are the only ones who really need these things. However, this does not prevent us from finding an authentic French restaurant near the hotel. Compared to Luang Prabang, Vientiane's French colonial influence is deeper, and authentic French cuisine can be found everywhere. Red wine, thick soup, salads, and schnitzels, although not peddler, this meal is obviously the most memorable meal we have enjoyed in Laos.

â–² On the way back to the hotel, the sunset in the west is even more beautiful. People can't help but take a picture.

On the day of leaving Vientiane, I walked alone on the street. I may be wearing a garish eye. In a region where Western tourists and Laotian people are more concentrated, I’m considered a relatively alien existence. I’ve walked past a cafe on the street. Many people are I sent a smile, but when one walks on the streets of such a country, it is bold and unresponsive to me. Although it is known that a country that respects religion has a simple folk customs, you cannot deny that for a country, mystery means relative occlusion and alienation. However, after this journey, Laos has gradually opened its hearts to me.

â–²While 5 people wash a car at the same time, is there more luxury than this?

On the way back from the drive, we encountered a landslide, probably less than a five-minute gap. The mudslide after the storm fell before our eyes and blocked the only road. We began a long wait. Fortunately, not far from here, a Chinese highway construction team is responsible for repairing this road. Soon, the first bulldozer arrived, and as the mud of a car was pushed down the road, more mud fell from the hill and the road was more tightly closed. The second bulldozer joined the job of redress. Soon after, the third one came.

After waiting for 7 hours, it was already dark. Every time we open up a few roads, local vehicles can't wait to get through first. The result is that the two sides do not give way to each other, and both are blocked on the passage that is not spacious. The Chinese foreman responsible for maintaining order was helpless, and our car could only wait silently because the chassis was low.

The Chinese foreman stood at the front of our head and carried the intercom on our backs. Under his command, the excavator paved the way for us. As a result, we passed the road covered with mudstone unscathed. Therefore, we must once again pay tribute to these workers who have assisted local people’s infrastructure in other countries.

With hunger and sleepiness, we fled the country at one go and drove the vehicle to the China-Laos border. At this time, to meet our long-lost port, the Laos port is not open 24 hours a day. Going back and looking for accommodation requires at least two hours driving over a hill, and we are exhausted. Do it. After the toilet was simply washed, we parked our car at the port inspection office, so we sleep in the car and clothes...

After dawn, staff members went to work. We passed the Laos port for the first time, and passed the Moho Port for the first time. Along with the “welcome to return home” of the Armed Police, we ended this time in the most embarrassing manner. Laos travel by car.

On that day, we were the first people to leave Laos from the Port of Dinghing; at the same time, we were the first to enter China from the Mogao Port. And the experience of sleeping at the border crossing that night has become a very interesting thing in life...

postscript:

With the opening of the Kunming Highway, it is now fashionable to drive to Southeast Asia and Laos is the first exit from the country. The reason why we did not go to Chiang Mai but to choose Laos is mainly because the sense of existence of this country is too low and relatively small. It is not difficult to drive by Laos (or Thailand). There is no need to go through any formalities in advance. As long as you have a driver's license and driving permit, be careful to keep all the procedures for getting through your car at any time. You will often encounter a police checkup along the way. There will be nothing to complete. If you really encounter police extortion, be sure to argue with arguments, as long as you do not violate the law, please do not worry. There are many local overseas Chinese, and they will also give you their help.

Most of the Laotian traffic police, gas station staff, etc. will have some Chinese, and communication will not be a problem. Gas stations do not have high-grade gasoline supply, and they implement a national uniform price. Please bring your own gasoline additives. In the north of Vientiane and upscale hotels, almost all of them are Chinese. In the northern part of Laos, close to China, many local young people can speak Chinese fluently.

The road conditions in Laos are generally fair. Many road sections are under construction by the Chinese construction team. I believe that there will be better road conditions in a few years. However, since we are driving Maserati to complete the crossing to the capital, Vientiane, the car is more natural. Not many local vehicles, traffic is not too complicated.

In general, Laos is like a country that has been "custodial" by China. It can see traces of China everywhere. There are many poor tourists in Europe and America in Luang Prabang, and there are relatively few people in the country. The price level in the local area is extremely low. The people believe in Buddhism and the folk customs are rather simple. However, in terms of tourism resources, this country does not have much attraction.

POE ONU

In general, ONU devices can be classified according to multiple application scenarios such as SFU, HGU, SBU, MDU, and MTU.
1. SFU type ONU deployment
The advantage of this deployment method is that the network resources are relatively abundant, and it is suitable for independent households in the FTTH scenario. It can ensure that the user terminal has broadband access functions, but does not involve more complicated home gateway functions. The SFU in this environment has two common forms: it provides both an Ethernet interface and a POTS interface; it only provides an Ethernet interface. It should be noted that SFU can provide coaxial cable functions in both forms to facilitate the realization of CATV services, and it can also be used with home gateways to facilitate the provision of value-added service functions. This scenario is also applicable to enterprises that do not need to exchange TDM data.
2. HGU type ONU deployment
The HGU type ONU terminal deployment strategy is similar to the SFU type, except that the functions of the ONU and RG are integrated in hardware. Compared with SFU, it can realize more complicated control and management functions. The U-shaped interface in this deployment scenario is built into the physical device and does not provide an interface. If you need to provide an xDSLRG device, you can directly connect multiple types of interfaces to the home network, which is equivalent to a home gateway with an EPON upstream interface. Used in FTTH occasions.
3. SBU type ONU deployment
This deployment scheme is more suitable for independent enterprise users to construct the network under the FTTO application mode, and is based on the enterprise change of SFU and HGU deployment scenarios. The network in this deployment environment can support broadband access terminal functions and provide users with multiple data interfaces including El interface, Ethernet interface, and POTS interface, which can meet the needs of enterprises in data communication, voice communication, and TDM dedicated line services. Usage requirements. The u-type interface in the environment can provide enterprises with a frame structure with multiple attributes, which is more powerful.
4. MDU type ONU deployment
This deployment scheme is suitable for multi-user network construction under multi-application modes such as FTTC, FTTN, FTTCab, and FTTZ. If enterprise-level users have no demand for TDM services, this solution can also be used for EPON network deployment. This deployment solution can provide broadband data communication services for multiple users, including Ethernet/IP services, VoIP services, and CATV services and other multi-service modes, with powerful data transmission capabilities. Each of its communication ports can correspond to a network user, so in comparison, its network utilization rate is higher.
5. MTU-type ONU deployment
The deployment plan is based on the commercialization of the MDU deployment plan. It can provide multi-enterprise users with multiple interface services including Ethernet interfaces and POTS interfaces, and can meet enterprise voice, data, TDM private line services and other services demand. If combined with the slot type implementation structure, richer and more powerful business functions can be realized.
