Android 2.0 era "black technology" more intelligent

"‘It may not be long before the clerk who once made my coffee is no longer a human,’ said one visitor at the 19th China International Industry Fair on the 10th. The fair, often referred to as the ‘Workshop,’ has become a hub for showcasing cutting-edge robotic technologies that are gradually reshaping everyday life. At the ABB Robotics booth, I witnessed a coffee-making robot with two gray robotic arms. It skillfully handled the entire coffee brewing process—grinding beans, brewing, and even adding a neat cocoa powder design on top of the drink. The machine was so precise and efficient that it left many visitors amazed. After tasting the coffee made by the robot, one visitor remarked, “The flavor is almost the same as what a human barista would make.” This level of precision and quality highlights how far robotic technology has come in mimicking human tasks. Since its debut in 2012 with just 7,000 square meters of exhibition space, the ICT Robotics Exhibition has grown exponentially, now covering over 56,000 square meters. It has become the largest and most comprehensive robotics exhibition in the world, featuring a wide range of robotic solutions from various global brands. This year’s fair showcased robots that are not only functional but also increasingly integrated into daily life. From security to logistics, robots are proving their value in making our lives safer, more efficient, and more convenient. Imagine a future where instead of a security guard directing you to park your car, it's a property management robot. At the fair, several intelligent robots were introduced that are set to revolutionize the property sector. These robots can recognize residents, monitor behavior, and even identify suspicious individuals using facial recognition and internet updates. In Anhui, a batch of 300 sorting robots named “Huang Huangren” has already been deployed at the Hefei Post District, preparing for the upcoming Double 11 shopping festival. These robots are part of a broader trend in logistics, where automation is streamlining operations and improving efficiency. Hangzhou Haikang Robotics showcased an intelligent storage system that uses mobile robots to handle everything from sorting to parking, enabling fully automated warehouse management. Beyond assistance, some robots are stepping into high-risk environments. One such example is a painting robot, designed to replace manual labor in hazardous conditions. According to Dai Cheng from KUKA, this robot is equipped with explosion-proof features and can be customized for different projects, reducing health risks for workers. As one of China’s most anticipated industrial events, the 19th China International Industry Fair continues to capture public attention. Once seen as futuristic or even sci-fi, these "black technologies" are now becoming a reality in everyday life. Qu Daokui from Shenyang Xinsong Robot Automation believes that the integration of artificial intelligence marks a new era for robotics—the “Android 2.0 era.” Unlike traditional robots, modern intelligent systems are deeply embedded in aspects of human life, including health, culture, and education, signaling a future where humans and robots coexist seamlessly."
