FCI has recently expanded the QSFP + (four-channel small-scale pluggable) product of XLarate? requirements. XLerate's QSFP + cable is suitable for the following occasions: the total bandwidth requirement (up to 6Gb / s) exceeds that of the existing QSFP + cable that operates at IBTA QDR (Quad Channel Data Rate) and provides only 40Gb / s total bandwidth per connector port ability.
QSFP + series products are fully compatible with the SFF-8436 specification. Compared with existing SFP + systems, it can provide four times the port bandwidth capability. The QSFP + system and its form factor are particularly suitable for high-end transaction processing systems commonly used in data centers, networks, and high-performance computing applications.
The XLerate? QSFP + product portfolio includes SMT 38-position edge card connectors (10G), PCB-mounted EMI metal boxes with die-cast heat sinks, auxiliary mounting clips, copper-based passive and active optical cable assemblies. The board connector has an optimized PCB interface to minimize crosstalk and insertion loss. The cable assembly has a sturdy die-cast cover that provides excellent EMI shielding, and is equipped with an easy-to-use cable to facilitate disconnection of the cable assembly.
