The front of the watch uses a 1.39-inch AMOLED round dial with a resolution of 400 & TImes; 400 pixels, using the Gorilla 3rd generation glass, the shape is similar to the Moto 360, Gear S3 and Huawei Watch we reviewed. Compared with the rectangular screen of the Apple Watch, the round dial is more in line with the public aesthetic. After all, wearing quartz and mechanical watches for so many years, there is no table designed to be a non-mainstream square.

iOS users don't have Android users happyOf course, Pace Wear Hype itself has some room for improvement. First of all, it is still a matter of life. This watch needs to be recharged every day, otherwise the remaining power on the second day can only barely last for about half a day. The last 10% of the power will remind you to enter the power saving mode. In this state, the connection with the mobile phone will be disconnected, which is only used to display basic information such as time.
When connected to the iPhone, once the heart rate monitoring is turned on, it is a little hard to turn it off. The most effective way is to swipe the screen to the left to return to the previous directory. It would be more convenient to set the physical button to stop by clicking or stopping at 2 o'clock. Otherwise, heart rate monitoring may continue to run in the background. The main culprit of one day when I am fully charged with electricity is the uninterrupted work of heart rate monitoring.
Here, I would like to remind you that due to permission restrictions, Pace Wear Hype is more connected to iOS than the Android phone.
When testing Pace Wear Hype and Android phone pairing, I found that on the one hand, the local function in the setup menu is more abundant. For example, you can say that Hello Pace wakes up the voice assistant and creates reminder items through voice or translates Chinese and English sounds. At the same time, WeChat, QQ added voice chat; click the button at 4 o'clock to become a quick operation for QR code payment; in addition, the Sogou map with its own GPS module is also very accurate; the last is the application market, although currently Third-party apps are pitiful, but there is always better than nothing. Obviously, if you have a high level of functionality for Pace Wear, be sure to consider whether you are using an Android phone.

PaceOS system adds a rich custom dial, supports iOS and Android device connection, and has good scalability. In addition, the Pace Wear Hype is very unique in terms of sports mode. On the one hand, it can be reminded by voice in real time, and it can also record the instantaneous speed of motion, instantaneous heart rate, number of moving steps, and motion trajectory.
Pairing with Android devices can wake up all the features of Pace Wear Hype, but the limited third-party applications currently supported are the biggest flaws. In addition, in some details, such as battery life, heart rate monitoring switch mode, etc., there is still room for optimization. The PaceOS system will be launched in the NFC mobile payment field. As for whether Pace Wear Hype can win the market, it depends on the customization of PaceOS. Before IDC gave the latest data, the overall sales of smart watches in this year fell by 51.6% compared with last year, and the days of smart watches are not good. Including news that Pebble is selling Fitbit and Moto may stop launching new watches, it seems that the industry is not optimistic about smart watches. But think about it from another angle.
