How to Start:
One day at noon, I accidentally came across the Light Public Beta Spike (which seemed very fresh), so I set an alarm until the next day at noon to successfully join the first round of the public beta Spike event. The product from this Spike activity was a cool and sleek chassis (before, I had purchased a Coolermaster Cold Flame Gun XT with a green mechanical keyboard, which I found to be of great quality), and naturally, I was very excited to participate in the test since the top five players could also win prizes (the first prize being the 25th Anniversary chassis, but I was still hoping for the 2-5 place keyboard rewards).

Many test platforms provided by Cooler Master are worth trying for a large number of valued users. The total number is 30. Of course, I am very grateful to the valued friends for their encouragement, and I eventually won the fifth place, barely making the cut. So, upon receiving a new keyboard at home, besides knowing from the introduction that this keyboard was absolutely cool, I became even more curious about what kind of keyboard it was.
After waiting for a few days, Brother SF delivered it home! Upon receiving the package, I heard some fragmentary sounds coming from inside (as mentioned later). Quickly unpacking the SF bag, as expected, based on my analysis of the test page, it was the Flame Gun XT V2 version of the keyboard (red, green axis, tea axis), but upon closer inspection, what? This isn't the green axis, which I had never used before—this wasn't bad.
It's a good question again. I couldn't find the XT V2 green axis version of the keyboard in either the Cooler Master or JD flagship stores. When I asked the JD flagship store customer service, they told me that such a product didn't exist. Is this? Is the XTV2 green axis not yet released as a new product? The full-key green jacket shaft, which is a rare axis, raised many questions, but let's set those aside for now and take a look at the box.
Here’s the card for the XT 1 green axis keyboard on JD.com for reference.

The text also showed me a box containing the Cooler Master XT 1 generation green axis keyboard.
Enjoying the “Qingfeng Xiaâ€â€”—COOLERMASTER Cooler Master XT Green Axis Out of the Box. To buy reasons, it was mentioned that JD started warming up the keyboard and mouse last week, issuing a lot of big coupons, which led me to discover this fresh stuff, the half-price gynecology of Amway. Major forums have also heard about it. Primarily, I already had a K65 red shaft and a Logitech G610 teacup of the Thief Ship, so this time, my target was decisively set on a green shaft. The first two are out of the box as follows.

It has to be said that the outer packaging of the 2nd generation XT version has been greatly improved, at least reaching the level that a first-tier manufacturer should have, not as cheap as the 1st generation packaging. The overall style is calm and composed, and the configuration information is clear at a glance. It adopts the original Cherry MX green shaft body and provides PBT keycaps.
Opening the box, the keyboard is wrapped in a thin layer of foam, and the overall structure is very tight. However, when the film was peeled off, I noticed a large area of keycaps coming off (this also explains why the keyboard made piecemeal sounds when handed over by the courier). After reinstalling the keycaps onto the shafts, I found them to be very smooth and not damped. This should be the reason why the keycaps were dropped. The details need improvement. (This was also quite obvious when I switched to another set of keycaps.)
Installing the scattered keycaps back and taking out the attached accessories, including an instruction manual, 7 red common keycaps, a key puller, and a separate wire for the key wire (with a degaussing ring and a MICRO-USB USB connector, the joints have plating).
Experience Feelings:
The overall size structure of the first and second generations hasn’t changed much, but the weight of the 2nd generation is heavier than the 1st generation. On the surface of the keyboard, the overall color of the 2nd generation is not as pure black as the 1st generation. The surface of the 2nd generation product is made of skin-like material, but the 2nd generation is obviously improved. It represents a smoother surface, easier to handle, and feels better. Regarding the keycaps, the 2nd generation keycaps are made of PBT material. The surface of the keycaps seems to have a matte coating with a general metal feel. The touch feeling is also better than the 1st generation experience; the 1st generation keyboard has an F9 key bit win lock. The red flashing LED lights were moved to the top of the numeric keypad and moved to the top of the numeric keypad. They were all unified as a row of LED white lights. Everyone prefers the settings of the 1st generation blusher. Of course, they are all different.
Green axis, a rare axis in Cherry’s original MX axis, is a two-stage structure with 70g pressure, usually used for the space bar of the keyboard on the blue axis. Like the blue axis, the stem is divided into two parts. There is a “click†sound and a sense of passage. A relatively common but small number of axes. All in all, the green axis is heavy green. Here again, the green axis is heavier than that of the cobalt blue axis and the green axis. To put it plainly, the blue axis cross rod + the black axis spring will create a unique feel for the green axis. In addition, the green shaft is pressed to emit a “scratching†sound more loudly than the green shaft.
In actual use, the green axis requires more pressure than the green axis to trigger, and the long code hand may feel tired, but the overall trigger rhythm is almost the same as the green axis. The difference is that the switch trigger sound is not as crisp as the blue axis. The button springs back as if there is no blue axis, and it feels close to the feeling of the tea axis.
Although this XTV2’s PBT keycap I feel very good, but all the black keycap to see for a long time always feel very monotonous, so I found a set of the same carbon PBT color carbon key cap on Taobao.
First remove all the keycaps, you can see the XT V2 key with a balance bar settings, the increase in the stability of the installation of the steel plate, the balance bar key cap I was the first installation, found the Raiders on the Internet afterwards, it is also surprising that the summary should be stable and accurate.
The key cap I chose is the laser side engraving style of PBT material, and the physical color of the white key cap should be the color of milk yellow close to light cream. In the installation also encountered some of the shaft body is too loose, I installed in these keycaps is a bit of paper to strengthen the fixed. The overall physical effect of individuals is also quite satisfactory.
In the end, I would like to say one question. This time, the instructions that came with the keyboard box (reluctantly it is), except for a little keyboard information, are the translation contents of various language versions. There is no introduction about the improvement of the wired features of the V2 version. For example, the V2 version has joined the smart main control system, macro programming operations, smart no-punching system, and various combinations of key functions identified on the keycap. It has not been found. Although the configuration has been greatly improved, consumers will not use it and are quite helpless.
Advantages:
Based on the excellent foundation of the Flame Gun XT, it has been greatly improved and has increased the intelligent main control system, macro programming function, and intelligent speed control function.
Skin-like material surface is optimized to be smoother and easier to care for; PBT material caps are delicate and delicate; standard OEM keyboards are easy to change key caps.
The green axis is rare and worthy of possession.
Large key balance bar setting, very stable.
Shortcomings:
The introduction of the manual is too simple. For beginners, the complicated keyboard functions cannot be mastered (the keyboard cannot be found in the official website and JD. I wonder if there will be a detailed introduction in the official version of the keyboard manual).
Compared to the XT1 version keyboard base, the Coolermaster Cold Flame Gun logo was removed, and other parts have no similar logo. It is recommended to arrange a Cool Master or Flame Gun logo to increase the recognition. After all, there are many players who believe in it.
The shaft puller is too simple. If you want to save the cost, you can still send it. The improvement can refer to the beautiful and easy-to-use screw puller provided by the Cherry G80 keyboard.
In general, the XT V2 keyboard has been greatly improved compared to the 1st generation of Flame Guns, and the red, green, and tea axis versions have not risen in price relative to the 1st generation. If this green-axis version of the keyboard is available later, players who believe in the game or want to try the rare axis are still worthwhile. As a best-selling product series, the Flame Gun has been improved in the V2 version. If you optimize it in some details, you will be more attractive to the players.
