However, NVC issued a notice yesterday that it has not reached any agreement on the role of Wu Changjiang at this stage. On the other hand, Xu Mingyin, a non-executive director of the company, delivered a speech to the board of directors on August 24.
Earlier, many media outlets in the Mainland quoted the so-called authoritative sources as saying that "all the divisions are in their own positions, and not only Wu Changjiang returns, but the former executives will return to their original positions and responsibilities along with Wu Changjiang." The return also included Xu Fengyun, the company's vice president who had previously submitted his resignation to the board of directors, and Liu Shuanglong, general manager of Zhejiang Sanyou, a subsidiary of NVC Lighting.
According to sources, the more disputed NVC CEO and former Schneider employee Zhang Kaipeng will not leave NVC and will remain as a member of the Interim Management Committee; Wu Changjiang will serve as the chairman of the Interim Management Committee. These appointments can be announced as soon as they are approved by the board of directors.
NVC’s announcement yesterday confirmed that he did discuss with Wu Changjiang about the future role of the latter, but the board of directors emphasized that this was a discussion between the two, and the company has yet to reach any agreement with Wu Changjiang.
