Beijing Construction Project will disable incandescent lamps

According to the Jinghua Times, on the afternoon of April 28, the Beijing Municipal Housing and Construction Commission, the Municipal Planning Commission, and the Municipal Municipal City Committee jointly issued the “Catalogue of Building Materials for Promotion, Restriction, and Prohibition of Use in Beijing”. In this “negative list,” Including incandescent lamps, bagged cement, and inflated gypsum board, a group of construction materials that are not environmentally friendly, have high energy consumption, and have a short life span have been listed on the banned list and will bid farewell to the Beijing construction project.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Urban Construction and Construction Committee, in the new catalogue, a batch of building materials and equipment that are not environmentally friendly, have high energy consumption, and have a short life span, such as bagged cement (except special cement), inflated gypsum board, and incandescent lamps, are listed as prohibited. The list of construction materials and equipment will bid farewell to the Beijing construction project stage. The new catalog will be formally implemented on the 1st of next month. By then, these materials will be banned in construction projects. This regulation also means that after May 1st, non-environmental construction materials such as incandescent lamps, bagged cement, etc. can no longer be used in the renovation of projects, the supply of roughs provided by developers, and the decoration of houses.

The person in charge said that for the use of bagged cement, if it is used for home decoration, because of the more difficult law enforcement, it is a personal act, so the building materials used for home decoration are not mandatory according to the directory requirements.
